Heavy Equipment Technician

Raskas Equipment Technician – Veljekset Ovaska Oy Veljekset Ovaska Oy is a growing infra and civil engineering company in Southeast Finland, and we are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in a permanent position. In this role you will be responsible for maintenance, repairs and ensuring the operability of our equipment. Our fleet includes excavators, wheel loaders, trucks and vans. Work mainly takes place in the workshop, with field service at job sites when needed. Duties include maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and vans, fault diagnosis and troubleshooting, hydraulic and electrical fault repair, preventive maintenance and inspections, and on-site service if required. What we expect from you: experience with maintenance of heavy machinery and/or vehicles, strong technical understanding (hydraulics, electricity, mechanics), ability to work independently, initiative and responsibility, B-driver’s licence, knowledge of Volvo, Caterpillar, John Deere or similar machines, experience in van maintenance, welding skills, diagnostic equipment experience, C-driver’s licence. We value experience with van maintenance, and the ability to read mechanical manuals. We work with continued learning and modern equipment.
