As a practical nurse, you are an important part of our clients’ everyday lives in Parkano home care. You work as part of a skilled team and are responsible for clients’ comprehensive care in their own homes. We provide individual, high-quality and warm care, with genuine and respectful encounters. Days in home care vary, and hardly any two workdays are alike. Work is done in three shifts on weekdays and weekends. Clients use automated medication dispensing, and you use the Hilkka mobile system to record visits conveniently during home visits. You will do well in this role if you take initiative, know the fundamentals of nursing and meet each client individually and respectfully. You will be supported by a warm, collaborative work community where humour is part of everyday life and colleagues help one another succeed. The role is fixed-term from 16 November 2026 to 26 September 2027. Pay and employment terms follow the health services collective agreement, and your experience and skills are considered individually. Would you be our new colleague? We hope you have: - A practical nurse qualification and professional rights granted by Valvira, or are a practical nurse student nearing completion with at least 120 competence points. - Previous work or placement experience in home care or elderly care. - The ability to use your own car for work. - Good spoken and written Finnish. - The medication-care competence required for the role. We will verify this at the start of employment. - Suitability for client and patient work in social welfare and healthcare under the Communicable Diseases Act. - The ability to present a criminal record extract before accepting the position, as required by the Act on the Supervision of Social Welfare and Healthcare.
