Early Childhood Teacher

The position is for a substitute early childhood teacher at Illenpihan Unit, within the Vantaa City Education and Learning department. The unit is part of the Illenpihan Early Childhood unit and collaborates with Illenpuisto daycare. The role involves implementing a sensitive and safe daily routine where the child is central to activities. You will read and respond to the needs of children and the team, and be ready to apply different activity models. The team comprises two teachers and one child caretaker; the vacancy is a temporary substitute with potential to become permanent. The unit emphasizes development based on research evidence and uses the ProVaka activity model to support children's social skills. The successful applicant commits to acting according to the model principles in collaboration with other staff. Requirements include excellent written and spoken Finnish, good teamwork and commitment. Experience as a kindergarten teacher is appreciated. The terms follow the Municipal Education Personnel collective agreement (OVTES).
