Nurse

We are seeking a nurse for the Porin addiction clinic. The clinic provides services for treating dependency issues. The aim is to break the acute addiction cycle, provide physical and psychosocial care, alleviate long-term effects of substance use, support sobriety, and assist families. Work formats include individual, couple, and family work as well as group work. At the Porin addiction clinic, there are also evaluations for opioid substitution therapy needs and provision of opioid substitution and detoxification treatment, driving health monitoring, and care referred from workplaces. The nurse works comprehensively in addiction care. Responsibilities include conversation work, administration of medication, on-call duties, and group guidance. Mental health topics are central to the nurse’s work and essential for success. A multidisciplinary team works here (nurses, social therapists, practical nurse, physician, and supervisor). We support professional development with a varied training offering. The required qualification is the license to practice health care professionals as defined by law, a registered nurse degree/AMK. Professional competence must be verifiable (Valvira). We require experience in addiction and mental health work, good interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary collaboration with outpatient mental health and addiction services and related teams and partners. In addition, good Finnish language skills (spoken and written) are required. We offer a challenging and interesting position with opportunities to develop your work and expertise. The terms of employment and salary are determined according to the SOTE agreement. The position’s salary is 3218.18 EUR per month. The working time form is general working hours at 38.25 h/week.
