Home-based childcare practitioner

We are seeking, by 3 December 2026 at 15:00, family day carers who work in their own home for permanent employment. The current placement is in the Ivalo area. Positions may be filled during the application period. Work starts according to the agreement. The family day carer is responsible for the pedagogy of the family day care group, planning and implementation of activities. We value an independent and developmental approach, good interaction and cooperation skills, and experience in child care tasks. The carer’s home and yard must be suitable for family day care work. The carer may also work in the family’s own home if agreed. Qualification required is a family day care professional qualification or other suitable education for the field (Varhaiskasvatuslaki 540/2018 29 §). Salary, working hours and terms follow KVTES. Pay scale for family day carers is 2350.53–2453.03 €/month. In addition, a 3% Inari allowance, seniority allowances per KVTES, potential recruitment allowance and other benefits such as cost reimbursements are paid. If a suitable candidate cannot be recruited, the position may be filled temporarily by a person meeting the criteria or a person committed to apprenticeship training for the duration of the apprenticeship. Required documents to prove qualification are to be provided on request. The successful candidate must present a medical certificate (T-form) and a criminal background check as required by law. A six-month probation applies. Inarin municipal workplace is smoke-free.
