Special Educator (Early Childhood Education)

We are seeking a Special Educator in Early Childhood Education to join the Vanda Swedish service area, working at Håkansböle Daycare, Västersundom Preschool and Trollebo Daycare. You will be an expert in supporting early childhood education and your work will focus on guiding two units in planning, developing and evaluating children’s support processes and how support is directed at the groups. You will collaborate closely with the day care director, early childhood education teachers and in multi-professional teams. You should be able to consult and coach staff and guardians and teach in groups according to the children’s needs. Co-teaching part-time or occasionally will be a focus in your work. As a Special Educator you will be part of the unit’s management group and support the unit in developing an inclusive culture. The day care centers are located at Galoppbrinken 5, 01200 Vanda; Västersundom Preschool at Hetbackavägen 3, 01200 Vanda; and Trollebo Daycare at Vidjegränden 2, 01360 Vanda. We collaborate closely with Västersundom School to promote safe transitions and lifelong learning. In the future, the plan is to move to new premises at Hästhagsvägen 17, 01200 Vanda for the Vanda Silva day care, starting the 2027–2028 year with four Swedish-speaking and six Finnish-speaking groups under the same roof. Vanda pays a relocation grant of 1,500 euros to people moving from other municipalities after a six-month probation period. The grant applies to permanent positions and only to teachers in early childhood education, special educators in early childhood education and day care directors. Benefits and conditions follow the municipal service and collective agreement for teaching staff (UKTA). Salary: 3,593.84 euros/month, plus any experience-based supplements.
