Reinforced Concrete Structural Designer

Would you be interested in work where you design both new and renovation structures and see your fingerprint in concrete buildings taking shape? We are now seeking a reinforced concrete structural designer for our Vaasa team to undertake versatile design tasks. As a reinforced concrete structural designer you will design bearing concrete structures for various building projects. You are responsible for your own design packages and will move solutions forward in collaboration with the project manager, other design team members and the customer. Your task list may include smaller independently executed design tasks as well as larger portions as part of a project group. Our commissions cover new build and basic renovation projects from small specialist tasks to major large-scale projects. We can tailor the job description to your specialisation and interests. It is important for us that you can develop and receive projects matching your experience level and challenging you appropriately. We do not shy away from giving responsibility and we trust our experts. We work in 28 locations, with your own office in Vaasa. To succeed in the role, we expect at least six years of experience in structural design of concrete structures. You have a relevant construction sector degree (DI / RI / Ins. AMK). You master the basics of statics and design of load-bearing structures and you can fluently use Office tools and AutoCAD- or Tekla Structures design software. Knowledge of RFEM and other software in the field is considered an advantage. You have good interpersonal skills and can communicate fluently and clearly in Finnish. You work well as part of a team, but you are also comfortable with independent tasks. You take responsibility for your own design work and are not afraid to devise new ways of doing things. An open attitude and interest in different concrete design tasks help you succeed in your work.
