The role involves preparing and assembling aluminum hulls, decks and structural components, performing MIG welding in accordance with drawings and work instructions, and ensuring ships meet high quality standards. You will work closely with aluminum, mechanical, outfitting and electrical teams and participate in finishing stages of production. Key duties include fabrication of aluminum hulls, decks and structure components, fitting, measuring, assembly prior to welding, MIG welding per instructions and quality requirements, welding of hull and deck and outfitting structures, weld inspection and correcting deviations, drilling, tapping and other metal machining, operating machines and tools used in manufacturing, and collaboration with other production teams across stages. The job is full-time, 40 hours per week.
