About the role

This recruitment is carried out anonymously. We are looking for an OPERATOR for Metsä Fibre's Rauma sawmill for a permanent employment contract. What kind of work awaits you? As a production operator, you are an important part of the sawmill's operation. With your own contribution and growing professional skills, you help ensure the best quality of products and efficient production. Most of the sawmill operators work in continuous shift work. Currently, we do 12-hour shifts at the sawmill. Our production operating model is based on multi-skilling, where tasks consist of production tasks in different stages of the sawing process. In our operating model, maintenance skills (such as electrical/automation) and user maintenance have a significant role as part of the production operators' job description. Shift operators handle repair measures during evening/night and weekend times, while maintenance personnel mainly work in the day shift. In addition, on maintenance days, we participate in planned cleaning, maintenance, and repair work. Therefore, readiness for maintenance tasks is a prerequisite for success in the position. The job description includes controlling and monitoring the production process using an automation system, versatile quality control work, and user maintenance tasks. The process also includes work stages requiring physical work. With us, work is done in a team, not solitary toil. What kind of expertise are we looking for?
