Katsa Oy is a specialist in power transmission technology, supplying customised gearbox and power transmission solutions for demanding global industrial applications. We are part of the American Twin Disc group and invest in a stable, developing production environment. We are now strengthening our machine shop with new CNC professionals. We are looking for CNC grinders for Katsa’s Ilmailunkatu unit on a permanent basis. Have you gained machining skills through education or practical work? Would you like to develop your skills with a wide range of CNC machines? We are seeking CNC grinders for Katsa’s Ilmailunkatu unit for permanent employment. The role is suitable both for someone at the beginning of their career and for someone who has already gained experience. You do not need to be a fully qualified CNC professional, but you should have the basics of machining under control and want to develop your skills further. Experienced colleagues will help you get started with different machines, settings and work stages. The most important things are that you know the fundamentals of machining, can read technical drawings and use measuring instruments, and want to learn more. Your duties You will work with CNC grinding machines. You will produce small batches and take part in setting up machines and preparing programmes. The work involves frequent changes of settings, keeping the working days varied and offering ongoing opportunities to learn. You will ensure the quality of the parts produced by checking them against technical drawings and using various measuring instruments. As your skills develop, you will take on new machines, work methods and more demanding tasks. You will also take part in developing your own work in accordance with lean thinking. What we are looking for You must be able to read technical drawings and use the most common measuring instruments. Fluent Finnish is necessary to succeed in the role, as work instructions and daily collaboration are in Finnish. We value a careful approach to work, an energetic and solution-oriented attitude, and motivation to learn new things. Success in the role also requires good teamwork skills, as you will work closely with other machinists and production staff. You take responsibility for your own work, while also knowing how to ask for help and help others when needed. The role requires readiness to work three- to four-shift schedules. What we offer We offer varied, hands-on work with CNC machining. Katsa’s wide range of machinery, small batches and changing setups make the working days varied and provide the opportunity to keep learning. You will be supported by a skilled working community and experienced colleagues who will help you gradually take on new machines, methods and duties. We offer a stable working environment and permanent employment. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, and the Technology Industry collective agreement applies. Does this sound like the right role for you? Submit your application by 29 October 2026. We will begin interviews during the application period, and the positions will be filled as soon as suitable candidates are found, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. The recruitment process is carried out in cooperation with Biisoni. For further information about the role, contact Susanna Tallbacka by phone at 050 471 4129 or by email at susanna.tallbacka@biisoni.fi.
