About the role

We are hiring a preschool caregiver for the Svenskspråkliga daghem Håkansböle in Vanda. You will be part of the pedagogical team, collaborating with multiprofessional actors, and contributing to an inclusive culture across the unit. The role involves providing children with security, care and support in everyday life, working in a team, and communicating safely and respectfully with children, colleagues and guardians. Our work follows the vision of the city of Vanda’s Swedish-speaking service area: We grow, play and learn together for a sustainable future, with an inclusive, safe and sustainable operating culture where the child’s best is always in focus. We plan for 2026–2027 to emphasize language and communication, play, and well-being, and participate in ProSmå-projektet to strengthen children’s socio-emotional skills and promote positive interactions across the day care. A new day care Silva will replace the current one, expected to be ready autumn 2027, offering modern facilities to support pedagogical work, collaboration and a sustainable everyday life for both children and staff. As a staff member you will have the opportunity to be part of this exciting journey and help shape the new day care with focus on pedagogy, community and the child’s best. Responsibilities include supporting children with safety and care in daily routines, being part of the pedagogical team and cooperating with multiprofessional actors, and contributing to developing an inclusive culture across the unit. You should be able to collaborate effectively in a team, communicate with children, colleagues and guardians in a calm and respectful manner, and respond to children’s individual needs. We offer a warm and supportive work community, a workplace that courageously develops and tests new working methods, and a focus on the well-being and participation of both children and adults. If you want to join our community, please get in touch to hear more about your strengths and fit. Why choose Vanda? Vanda is a brave and relaxed employer offering an open working climate and opportunities to try new ways of working. You will receive support at work, surrounded by a broad multiprofessional network. We provide opportunities for further training and development and a safe, equal working environment with wide employee benefits including exercise and culture benefits, lunch benefits and public transport benefits. The city employees can also benefit from discounted access to services such as swimming pools, gyms, group training and massage providers, and discounted tickets to cultural events. Employment conditions follow the municipal collective agreement (AKTA). Other terms include a required Swedish language proficiency and a probation period of 4 months for a full-time position. To apply, send your application through our recruitment system. A video interview may be used in the recruitment process. The application period begins 07.08.2026 12:00 and closes 23.08.2026 16:00.
