Early Childhood Education Teacher

The position is a temporary role in Vantaa city’s Early Childhood Education unit Illenpihan Yksikkö. The teacher will participate in implementing a sensitive and safe everyday life where the child is the focus. The team includes two teachers and one child caretaker; the substitute educator is sought with potential for permanent placement. The unit operates within the Illenpihan varhaiskasvatusyksikkö, together with Illenpuiston päiväkoti. The unit emphasizes development based on research evidence and uses ProVaka as a behavioral support model for children’s social skills, with the employee expected to adhere to its principles together with the rest of the staff. Proficiency in Finnish written and spoken language is required. The role is full-time with a six-month probation period; employment type is temporary with a starting date as soon as possible and ending 31.07.2027 depending on contract. Salary is 3129.46-3234.53 EUR per month, with allowances for qualifications and master’s degree as described in the ad, plus a 3-8% experience-based increment.
