About the role

The goal of the day activities is to support the independent home living of people aged 65+ and provide support to family caregivers in their daily lives. We support the elderly's own resources and functional capacity, as well as rehabilitate and assess mental, physical, and social well-being. Our five locations include Hangö, Ingå, Sjundeå, Ekenäs, and Pojo. Your primary place of work will be the Ingå and Sjundeå day activities. We offer you interesting work, orientation in the tasks, and support from the manager. You will work in a motivating and knowledgeable team, and together we will develop the day activities into a service that meets the current needs of the elderly. According to the new service model, day activities include remote day activities, local day activities with or without transport, and respite care for family caregivers. The operation functions according to a satellite model, meaning staff rotate between activity points on days when their own location is closed. Workplace and address: Ingå day activities, Läkarstigen 5 and Sjundeå Day Activities, Charlotta Lönnqvistvägen 5, 02580 Sjundeå Working hours: Daytime 08:00-15:39 The position is permanent. Qualification requirements: Degree granting the right to use the protected professional title of practical nurse. We require: The work requires good social skills, ability to lead group activities, flexibility, bilingualism (oral and written), ability to work independently, and good reaction capacity in changing situations. We require vaccination protection in accordance with §48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis investigation certificate according to §55. As of January 1, 2024, the employee must present a criminal record extract according to Section 28 of Act 741/2023 regarding the investigation of the criminal background of persons working with the elderly. In the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county, a drug test is requested from the person selected for a task through random selection according to the substance abuse program. We value experience in working with the elderly, a rehabilitative approach, a positive attitude toward change, and experience with various digital solutions.
