Senior Software Engineer

AlphaSense is seeking an exceptional engineer to own our Excel plugin strategy, bringing the power of AI-driven market intelligence directly into the workflow of financial professionals worldwide. You'll build the bridge between our cutting-edge AI platform and the tool that millions of analysts, investors, and researchers use every day – Microsoft Excel. You'll create experiences that feel magical to users. Your work will directly impact how the world's leading financial institutions make critical decisions. Responsibilities include building production-grade features for the Excel plugin, integrating with Office JavaScript API, TypeScript and React, and ensuring performance and stability across Windows and Mac. You'll mentor junior engineers, follow team standards, and contribute to deployment and monitoring of Office plugins. Qualifications include 5+ years building large-scale production systems; deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript; experience with enterprise software deployment; strong debugging and memory/performance optimization skills; knowledge of Excel's object model and calculation engine is a plus. Preferred: Office Add-ins/COM/VSTO experience, React, financial modeling knowledge. Compensation: Base range $132,000 - $181,700 CAD annually, plus equity and a generous benefits program.
