Senior AI Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who understands that applications built with AI must also work reliably, securely and at scale in production. Using AI tools for coding is already part of your everyday work, and you want to enable others to do the same and ensure new practices take root. We are looking for a consultative sparring partner who can build complete software and products using AI. You can advise clients on adopting AI tools effectively and ensure that software assembled with AI is technically sound, reliable and production-ready. The average salary is €92,000 per year. Important areas of expertise for a Senior Software Engineer include high-quality software production, designing and implementing complete products using AI, managing the entire GenAI lifecycle, and coaching clients in new technology. The technologies depend on the client’s needs, but these are among the keywords we encounter most often: Architecture and GenAI: RAG architectures, tool calling, guardrails, evaluation, context management Frontend and backend: React, Node.js, Python, Java, Go Cloud, containers and databases: AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, SQL, IaC You will work as part of a client’s product development team in Tampere or nearby. Remote-work opportunities vary, but currently it is common to work at the client’s premises two to three days a week. Do you recognise yourself? Do you have at least five years of broad software development experience and a track record of building production AI products?* Do you like speaking up outside lunch breaks too—in other words, keeping clients informed, sparring with them, advising when needed and assessing implementation approaches? Do you want to solve problems in the client’s best interests, rather than choosing what is most fun for you or what adds the most zeroes to the invoice? Are you a team player who can also build things independently, sometimes even from scratch?
