Kanniston Bakery has operated in Helsinki since 1914, and today the company’s foundation remains craft, high quality and traditional ingredients. We are now looking for new staff for our Helsinki and Espoo shops on a gig basis to sell customers only the best. As a seller your duties include customer service, cash handling and promoting sales in addition to unloading shipments, merchandising products, preparing specialty coffees, keeping the store clean and welcoming, monitoring waste, and replying to emails and orders. The most important factor for success in this job is a motivated, sales-minded attitude and a quick, proactive work approach. In our small shops you are often alone, so you will need strong multitasking and problem-solving skills. We offer: flexible work arrangements to suit your schedule; the possibility to work at different locations or focus on a single store; thorough training and support during shifts; and both Kanniston and Barona employee benefits. We expect: experience in cafe work and making specialty coffees; fluent Finnish; being of legal age; a hygienic certificate; flexible availability from Monday to Saturday; work shifts on weekdays from 07:00 to 20:00; the option to take shifts as a gig worker; stores located in Helsinki city centre, Punavuori, Hakaniemi, Töölö, Munkkiniemi and Espoon Leppävaara; we hope you can start with a flexible onboarding shift already in September. Pay is according to the shop’s collective agreement (13.66–15.64 €/h depending on experience plus supplements under the collective agreement).
