Not many of us are parking enforcement officers by birth. You will receive good preparation, supportive colleagues, and supervisor support for your development. Job duties and pay: In your work you will mainly intervene against improper parking by patrolling and supervising many sites. You will take control of different areas as the work progresses, so days are not the same. The sites include hotels, hospitals, shopping centers, and commercial properties. We continually develop the parking industry at all levels. For us, service quality is a matter of pride. Information flows quickly with our good systems, and field work is smoother. You will also receive a lunch benefit and your vehicle will be a low-emission Toyota hybrid. The job is shift work, with shifts mainly between 6–14 and 14–22. You will also have at least one free weekend per month. We strive for regularity in the shift planning and will consider requests as fairly as possible. The parking guard earns an hourly wage, and the amount depends on previous proven experience in parking enforcement or site guarding. Additional earnings can be pursued by taking training shifts or overtime. Are you suitable to become a parking enforcement officer? In this role, carefulness and accuracy are important. You should not be overwhelmed by customer situations and you should get along well with people. The job also requires excellent Finnish language skills (spoken and read). Naturally the job includes some driving, so you must be of legal age and have at least one year of driving experience in a vehicle-based job. Alternatively you may have held a driving license for at least two years and your driving experience has been regular, e.g., daily commuting by vehicle. A parking enforcement officer is needed to keep fire lanes free, accessible parking for the disabled, and residents and visitor/guest parking, ensuring easy and smooth parking for everyone.
