We are seeking two senior fire inspectors for a permanent position in the Lapin hyvinvointialue rescue services. The tasks are located under the safety services unit and the primary duty station is the Rovaniemi fire station. Work begins on 1 November 2026 or as agreed. A varied role across Lapland: As a senior fire inspector the area of responsibility covers all of Lapland. You will engage in impactful accident prevention work and promote safety in diverse operating environments. Your core duties include: - guidance and supervision tasks under the Fire Act and the Chemicals Safety Act - supervision activities and related customer contacts - safety communication and counseling - expert tasks in different parts of the rescue service The role initially focuses on the fundamental tasks of the rescue authority, especially supervision and guidance duties. As you gain experience, the job description may broaden to expert, development and responsibility duties to suit the person’s skills and organizational needs. What we require: - eligible higher education degree suitable for the task - valid B-class driving license We particularly value: - good interaction and cooperation skills - proactive and solution-oriented approach - ability to lead your own work - strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills - willingness to operate in changing situations - versatile basic IT skills - development-minded attitude and ability to work as part of an expert team Additionally valued: - experience in fire inspection duties - up-to-date knowledge of rescue authority supervision processes - continuing education related to accident prevention tasks in rescue services - familiarity with Lapland’s operating environment and regional features What we offer: - Professional and supportive colleagues - Salary of 3,584.70 €/month + 8% personal allowance - Flexible work arrangements, including flexitime and partial remote work - Starting date as agreed Security checks: the selected person must consent to the basic security check under the Security Clearance Act (726/2014).
