DOCTORAL RESEARCHER in Bioinformatics/Systems Biology The Faculty of Pharmacy invites applications for the position of a Doctoral Researcher in Bioinformatics/Systems Biology to join the Systems Pharmacology research group at the Division of Pharmaceutical Biosciences, University of Helsinki. The position is fixed-term until 31 August 2030. Start: January 2027; 6-month probation. The project is funded by the Research Council of Finland (EpiTheraRx) and aims to identify disease-relevant alternative splicing events and their epitranscriptomic regulation to enable RNA therapeutics design. The doctoral researcher will analyse large-scale single-cell and bulk multi-omics datasets, integrate genomics, epitranscriptomics and transcriptomics data, and contribute to the development of novel systems biology and bioinformatics methods for RNA therapeutic target discovery. Supervising undergraduate students and other discipline-specific teaching will be part of duties (up to 5% teaching). Salary starts around 2,500–2,700 EUR per month, according to the job requirement scheme; progression based on PhD progress.
