Special Education Teacher

We are hiring a bilingual (Finnish and English) Special Education Teacher for the Y.E.S. Daycare, connected to the Vantaa City educational unit. The role focuses on assessing and planning the support needs of children, implementing the supports, and evaluating their effectiveness in collaboration with other daycare staff. You will contribute to developing an inclusive educational culture together with the daycare director and other stakeholders, participate in planning and evaluating support processes, and work closely with families and external partners. The daycare operates eight groups, includes two preschool classes, and serves up to 154 children. The role requires strong special education expertise, a positive and encouraging team spirit, and excellent written and spoken Finnish. The position is full-time with a 38 h 15 min work week and a six-month probationary period. Salary is paid under the municipal teacher collective agreement, with a base range of EUR 3593.77–EUR 3751.06 monthly, plus small allowances for certain qualifications (about EUR 15–EUR 37.88 per month).
