As a Tendering Manager, you will work in the Tendering Operations of the Construction segment, whose task is to lead the tendering phase from customer need to contract so that winning, feasible and profitable offers are created in accordance with YIT's strategy. In the Construction segment, we build, repair and develop commercial and public buildings, such as industrial plants, data centers, offices and educational institutions, ensuring customer focus, appropriate functionality and usability throughout their entire life cycle. In your role as Tendering Manager, you are in a key role ensuring that YIT delivers a competitive offer that meets the customer's needs within the agreed schedule. You are responsible for the overall management of the tendering process and combine the different experts and skills needed to prepare a winning offer. Main responsibilities: Tendering process management: You plan and guide the project's tendering phase from start to finish, manage schedules and ensure the smoothness of the process and the quality of the offers. Main focus on strategically significant, large-scale projects. Tender strategy development: You define the winning strategy, analyze the competitive situation, identify competitive advantages and ensure the offer's distinctiveness in the market. Stakeholder coordination: You ensure smooth cooperation with internal teams (e.g., procurement, calculation, production, legal team) and, if necessary, external partners. Understanding customer needs: You ensure that the offer meets the customer's requirements and contains clear value creation. Documentation and compliance: You take care of the prerequisites for decision-making, compliance with internal decision-making processes and archiving of necessary materials. Continuous development: You collect lessons from the tendering process and develop operating methods for future competitions. What helps you succeed in the role: * At least a UAS-level (AMK) suitable degree * Extensive experience in tendering activities in the construction industry and the ability to lead tendering projects * Strong customer understanding as well as cooperation and interaction skills * Management and facilitation skills and skills related to team cohesion * Commendable Finnish and English language skills – both oral and written * Good understanding of procurement economics and understanding of how profitability is created in different implementation forms * Construction technical expertise is considered an advantage In addition, we expect responsibility, the ability to implement changes and a desire to develop operations systematically and address possible shortcomings across process boundaries.
