Havukallio is located in a natural, forested residential area with good transport links. Nature is an integral part of our learning environment, and we actively use the nearby surroundings in our activities. The area’s multiculturalism enriches our daily life and brings diverse perspectives and cultures into our work. Our daycare serves five groups of children, and the facilities have just been renovated, allowing you to work in updated group spaces alongside other staff to build functional and inspiring learning environments. We aim to meet every child warmly, supporting their individuality, strengths, and encouragement. Play is central, as is child participation, curiosity and together wonder. Our pedagogy focuses on emotional and social skills and language development, ensuring children have a safe atmosphere to learn, try, and succeed. Supporting the pedagogical work are a wide-ranging special education teacher and a development teacher. Our unit also uses the ProVaka approach (positively learning in groups in early childhood education). You will join a capable, professional team and receive support through collaboration, with humor welcome in daily work. Our unit also serves as a field day kindergarten for teacher students, so you may also mentor future professionals if you wish. What we expect from you: a sensitive, warm approach to children; strong teamwork and adaptability; willingness to develop high-quality pedagogy with the team. Proficiency in spoken and written Finnish is required. If you are cooperative, open and motivated by development, you may be our new colleague. We will begin interviews during the application period. The role can be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found, so please apply promptly. Why choose Vantaa? Vantaa is a bold and relaxed employer offering an open working atmosphere and opportunities to try new methods. You will be supported by a broad multi-professional network.
