Club Leader for Children with Disabilities

As a healthcare assistant you work with children and are responsible for planning and carrying out activities within the unit, ensuring safe care and well-being. Your work is varied and meaningful daily support for children. Tasks include assisting children in daily activities and various care procedures. The job is partly physically demanding and involves client transfers, assisting children, and participating in their daily care and routines. You also support children in interactions and in making their own choices. You support each child's individual needs and well-being and plan and implement meaningful activities such as crafts, play, outdoor time and other activities that support development and participation. You will have opportunities to use your strengths and ideas and participate in developing activities. You guide children toward as independent a daily life as possible, encouraging participation in everyday tasks according to their resources. The job also includes responsibility for medication administration and functioning as part of a multidisciplinary team in accordance with common plans and practices. You will together with clients and staff ensure a clean, safe and functional environment. In this role you play an important coordinating role with relatives, the work community and various stakeholders to ensure smooth information flow to support clients' well-being. The work emphasizes ethics, respectful treatment of clients and support for autonomy. You perform work that has real impact on children’s daily life, well-being and opportunities to live life on their own terms. The work is daytime during weekdays, with hours mainly between 6:30 and 17, following general working hours. Experience in disability work or development disability work, knowledge of alternative communication methods such as support signs and picture communication, and experience working with children are considered an asset. A hygiene passport is also viewed as an asset. Eligibility requires a vocational qualification in social and health care (nurse assistant) or an earlier level of education in the field.
