A fixed-term Employment Coach position is open in Kempele for the parental leave replacement from 21 September 2026 to 26 February 2027. The Employment Coach will primarily serve client services for job seekers aged over 30 within the Kempele municipal employment services in the Oulu region. The role includes periodic interviews to map the client’s service needs, job search status, skills, job-search abilities and work capacity. In interviews, the client is guided toward work and services. A plan is prepared with the client, agreeing on job-search activities. Clients may be of different ages, from various sectors and backgrounds. In addition to in-person visits, the coach works via telephone, online connections and video conferencing. The required qualification is a suitable university degree or a polytechnic degree and professional skills acquired through work experience. We expect the ability to assess clients’ service needs and to form a stance on those needs. A customer-oriented service attitude and good customer service skills are required, with emphasis on communication skills. ICT skills and English language ability are also expected. Experience with the labour market and guidance/motivation skills are a plus. Knowledge of rehabilitation and pension systems and social services is advantageous. Original studies and work certificates should be presented during possible interview. The position is subject to a probation period of half of the temporary employment duration.
