We are seeking a motivated and skilled early childhood development social worker (sosionomi) for Laajavuoren day care. Laajavuoren day care belongs to Jokiuoman operation unit. The unit has three children groups and operates with parallel leadership, one manager responsible for personnel and another for pedagogy. Our unit participates in ProVaka development activities (positive group learning in early childhood education). The role emphasizes prevention of bullying, support for emotional and peer skills, and supporting and developing parenting. You will participate in multidisciplinary teamwork and refer families to other child and family services when needed. Key areas include implementing early childhood education, planning and evaluating unit activities, wellbeing work focusing on children’s social and peer skills and wellbeing, interacting with families and professional collaboration, evaluating and developing the unit’s practices from a social-pedagogical perspective, and assessing participation and wellbeing practices with staff. What we expect from you: knowledge of early childhood education plan and the Early Childhood Act; collaboration skills; expertise in child social and peer development and parenting strengths and challenges; experience with early childhood education methods, wellbeing, growth and development; independent and developmental work attitude; ability to promote community, inclusion and equality; strong Finnish written and spoken skills.
