In Lapland's wellbeing region, in the southern service area, the family center services are recruiting for a fixed-term family support worker for home-based services for the period 26.10.2026 – 30.6.2027. The work unit includes home visiting for families, family services, support person work and meeting-place activities. The area is the southern service area and the office is in Kemi. The family support worker acts in a planned and goal-oriented manner together with the child, the family and cooperation partners to support parenting and daily life. A central aim is to strengthen families’ own resources. The work is mobile and takes place in homes, work environments and networks. It is shift work, including morning, evening and weekend shifts. Good Finnish language skills (spoken and written). Own car is an advantage. What counts in your favour? Experience with work with children, youths and families and knowledge of customer processes in Child Welfare and Social Welfare law. Eligibility requires a suitable university of applied sciences degree (e.g. social welfare). If applicants meeting the eligibility criteria are missing, the position may be filled by a person studying a suitable university of applied sciences degree.
