Early Morning Sorter

Posti is hiring an Early Morning Sorter in Kuopio. The role involves delivering morning newspapers, mail and advertisements to households. Shifts start around 00:00–02:00 after sorting mail at the distribution site, then you deliver to your own route and return to the distribution site at the end of the shift. The job requires good physical condition as you are on the move most of the shift. The tools depend on the route and include a Posti cargo scooter or a car. We require at least a category B driving license and strong driving experience in Finland’s varying weather. Local knowledge of the area is a plus. We provide thorough orientation where you first observe an experienced sorter and learn by example. Please indicate any previous related work experience in your application. Work shifts vary by route and week; typical shift length is 3–6 h per night. The rotation is usually 6 nights on, 2 days off. Employment is permanent, starting by agreement. Salary: 12.16 €/h, determined by the Media and Industry Union contract, and at start 10.84 €/h + night pay 1.32 €/h, totaling 12.16 €/h. Requirements: at least 18 years old, good physical condition to be mobile during the shift, energetic and independent work attitude, enjoy outdoors in all weather, category B license. Why join us?
