About the role
Process Engineer focused on the design, testing and commissioning of production lines for optical fiber manufacturing. The role covers the entire project lifecycle from bid to start-up and warranty support. Involves significant travel and collaboration with mechanical, electrical, automation teams, project managers and customers. Some work is performed at the Vantaa site, others at customer production facilities around the world.

Responsibilities
- Design and development of process solutions for machines and production lines
- Participate in bidding as a technical expert
- Test and run throughput and process trials at Vantaa site
- Commissioning at customer production sites
- Prepare technical analyses, calculations and documentation
- Support project managers and stakeholders on process issues
- Provide warranty and post-market support as needed
Requirements
- Technical education in process, chemical or materials engineering
- Willingness to travel 50-80% of time
- Strong English communication; Finnish considered a plus
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- Self-confident, solution-oriented and eager to learn
- No mandatory work experience required
