About the role

ReOrbit is looking for a Project Manager – Avionics to lead avionics development and integration for the SiltaSat GEO satellite. This role ensures the successful delivery of power systems, onboard electronics, harnessing, sensors, actuators, and all electrical interfaces required for long‑duration GEO missions. It's an exciting chance to join a dynamic start-up, with the opportunity to make a real impact, to reach our goal of pushing the boundaries of space data transfer. Responsibilities include leading all avionics domain activities across the GEO satellite program, overseeing development and integration of power systems, onboard electronics, harnessing, sensors and actuators, managing electrical interface control and cross‑subsystem alignment, coordinating with subsystem leads and Work Package Managers, leading procurement and supplier follow‑up for avionics hardware and long‑lead items, supporting verification, electrical integration, and testing activities, and serving as custodian of the Electrical Interface Control Document (EICD). Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred), 5+ years of experience in avionics or flight hardware development within space or aerospace, strong understanding of avionics integration, electrical interfaces, and GEO‑mission reliability, experience with environmental testing (EMC, vibration, TVAC), ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, understanding of power distribution, signal integrity, and data‑handling architectures, experience with electrical workflows and troubleshooting, and knowledge of ESD‑safe handling of sensitive hardware.
