We are currently seeking a cook to take charge of meal provision at the Sähäkkä child protection unit in Oulainen. The unit provides specialized and demanding ward-based services for 13–17-year-old youth, offering well-resourced, individualized support for emotionally distressed youths. The structure of two parallel units enables cooperation and joint work in everyday situations. The role is responsible for planning and executing meals, independently designing menus that account for special diets and youths’ preferences. On average, around 20 diners daily. Additional duties include placing food orders, and other food and cleaning services such as dishwashing. You will also be responsible for supplier orders, implementing the kitchen’s internal safety plan, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. The position is part-time (about 80%) and permanent. Work shifts are mainly on weekdays from 08:00 to 18:00. Salary is aligned with the Private Social Services Sector Collective Agreement (TES) level G18B and adjusted for part-time work. Requirements
- Kitchen or cleaning industry training or relevant work experience
- Hygiene certificate
- Experience with quality control and self-monitoring plans is a plus
