<p><strong>As a Regional Tax Manager your responsibility area is to manage Nokia’s tax affairs in selected Middle East and African countries (MEA) as part of small MEA tax team, but in close collaboration with wider tax and finance community. You will report to Head of Tax MEA. Location of the position is in Espoo, Finland, and it is fixed term until August 2027.</strong><br><br> </p>

Responsibilities
- Manage, develop, and optimize Nokia’s tax affairs in selected MEA countries (with focus on Africa)
- Propose solutions for tax efficiency, cash tax and indirect tax optimization, compliance development and tax risk minimization
- Monitor/evaluate implications of tax legislation changes
- Plan, improve and drive the implementation and compliance of Nokia’s business structure
- Manage all tax audit and litigation strategies including using external tax consultants and tax lawyers
- Support business in contract set-up and risk analysis, and provide tax input in deal approvals and country entries/exits
- Prepare and review quarterly tax reporting packages and IFRS tax reporting documentation
- Ensure adequate support and controls for SOX purposes
Requirements
- Master’s degree in law or economics
- Over 6 years of relevant tax experience in a similar role in Big 4, law firms and/or multinational companies, and tax administration
- Sound knowledge of tax legislations, tax litigations and practices in corporate income tax related topics in an international environment, and a good understanding of the principles of Indirect Taxation
- Transfer Pricing and Tax Accounting expertise
- Sufficient accounting or finance background
