Chief Doctor

We are strengthening our teams! We are offering a permanent position for a chief physician on the psychiatry line. Your responsibilities include the role of chief physician on the specialized psychiatric alert wards 1 and 2, management of the patient pathway for forensic psychiatry patients, and the development of psychosocial and relapse-prevention care for psychotic patients in Keski-Suomi wellbeing district. You will work in development together with professionals from specialized psychiatry, primary services and social services – you will not be alone in your work! At Sairaala Nova, psychiatry in specialized care operates on the hospital campus, enabling better collaboration with psychiatric outpatient and inpatient care as well as with somatic specialty fields. Our patients have access to the entire care chain from basic care to specialized care after integration of psychiatry and mental health and substance abuse services. We also work closely with health centers in outpatient health care. The physician’s work is diverse, and all functions are physically close to one another: consultations, outpatient clinics, and inpatient wards.
