Social Worker

The acute team handles the daytime social welfare emergency duties for adult clients of the West Uusimaa Welfare Region. The work is fast-paced and varied public sector work where situations are assessed and resolved often within the same workday. As a social worker you will assess urgent contacts and social welfare law notifications, and be responsible for urgent client need assessments. The job includes meeting clients at the office, remotely, and during home visits, answering the emergency helpline, and making decisions on temporary housing. You will also handle urgent welfare benefits matters. The position operates independently but in close collaboration with the rest of the team and partner networks. In the acute team no two days are the same. You will rapidly assess changing situations, make decisions to meet immediate client support needs, and work with a broad network of authorities and partners.
