Healthcare assistant

Hoivakoti Kantele is a 60-bed 24/7 elderly care facility in Valkeakoski. The unit comprises four 15-resident group homes, located on the hospital campus in the city center near services and waterways. Most residents are experienced in life and need help with daily activities. We use an everyday rehabilitation-oriented approach to maintain functional capacity. Our unit is led by Lahihoitajavetoisesti (care assistants) with nurses in support and teams operating with shared leadership. Staff actively innovate events and activities to make everyday life meaningful for residents. You are welcome to contribute your own energy to developing elderly care. As a Lähihoitaja you are responsible for residents’ holistic care and the families’ overall well-being. Tasks include basic care, medication administration, RAIs, and collaboration with pharmacy, doctor, and relatives. Indirect tasks such as laundry, meals, and waste management are included, with service aides working mornings in these tasks. You will work with a broad skill set. We are looking for a licensed Lähihoitaja (social welfare) or perushoitaja with hygieniapassi and LOVe online medication administration tests. If needed, the medication competence can be completed at the workplace at the start of employment. You can use the digital tools OMNI360 and Saga Social Welfare information system. The probation period is half of the employment length. Full-time with ~38h15/wk. Includes morning, evening and night shifts.
