The Tourism Development Centre is seeking a Project Manager/Researcher to lead the implementation of the 'Welcome to Volunteer – Journey Towards Common Good' project. This is a fixed-term position with a 60% workload from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2028, primarily based at the SAMK campus in Pori. The role involves developing a new operational model for volunteer tourism as part of sustainable and regenerative tourism in Satakunta. The primary responsibility is to manage the project according to the project plan, building cooperation between associations and tourism companies, and creating short-term volunteering opportunities for both tourists and locals to strengthen regional vitality and community. Key requirements include strong expertise in the project's subject area, knowledge of the tourism and culture sectors, and experience in project planning, implementation, and coordination. Understanding of sustainable, regenerative, and community-led development is essential. Experience with EU-funded projects is considered an advantage. The candidate should be able to work fluently with various stakeholders, possess strong communication skills, and be proficient in Finnish and English.
