We are seeking an enthusiastic bilingual (Finnish and English) Early Childhood Education Specialist Teacher to join Y.E.S. Päiväkoti, part of Vantaa City’s Education and Learning division. The unit is an 8-group day care with two preschool classes, operating in connection with Vantaa International School and serving up to 154 children. The teacher will assess and plan support for children with needs, implement support in collaboration with other staff, and contribute to developing an inclusive culture in the unit together with the day-care director. The role emphasizes pedagogical expertise and close cooperation with various stakeholders. The position involves collaboration with staff at the unit, the day-care director, and other child/family service actors. We value a strong special education expertise, a positive and encouraging team player attitude, and commitment to supporting each child’s growth and learning. There is a strong inclination toward learning new things and developing skills, with a ready and open mindset toward diversity among children and families. Fluent proficiency in Finnish (written and spoken) is required. The unit uses ProVaka as a model for supporting children’s social skills, and employees commit to applying its principles. An additional monthly supplement of €15 for a Master’s degree in Education is paid, and a 3–8% seniority/experience bonus applies. A criminal background check is required. 1 position.
