Oulun yliopisto is a multidisciplinary, internationally active research university... We are now seeking an Education Assistant for a one-year fixed-term employment starting 1.9.2026 in the Study Services of the Faculty of Technology. The Study Services of the Faculty of Technology provide education and study support services for the faculty's students, teachers, degree program directors and the faculty management. Services include study administration services, scheduling work, preparation of unit-level decisions, student counseling and guidance, support for curriculum work, support for mobility and internships and graduation support. Tasks: - Help the degree programs of the faculty of technology succeed in their educational task by acting as part of the faculty's study services team - Advise, help and guide students from the beginning of their studies until the graduation phase - Diversely administer study rights and be responsible for the study-administrative finishing touches related to graduation - Maintain information regarding studies and students in the Peppi system - Assist if necessary in scheduling work, implementation of student selections and administration of tuition fees and scholarships - Participate in the supervision tasks of the electronic exam service (EXAM) - Your duties may also include other education support service tasks What we offer? - Support from an expert and enthusiastic team of 15 people - Sports, culture and wellbeing benefits (ePassi) and flexible multi-location and remote work opportunities - Work-life balance: Saturdays are not counted in holiday periods! - Development and career opportunities offered by a large organization - Meaningful work! What are we looking for? - Suitable lower university degree (e.g. in administration) - Fluent oral and written Finnish and English language skills - Active customer service attitude and eagerness to learn new things - Independent and proactive approach to work - Good work organization and time management skills - Cooperation and teamwork skills - Good IT skills - Mastery of the use of key information systems of higher education (Peppi, Opintopolku, etc.) Additionally, we consider as an advantage: - Knowledge of university education and study support services and different customer groups - Experience in education or study administration support service tasks - Work experience in English-language customer service tasks Salary: Fixed-term from 1.9.2026 to 30.8.2027. Level 6 of the university salary system for other expert and support staff. Performance-based pay up to 50% of the position-specific part. Typical salary in similar positions is 2,700 – 3,000 EUR/month. 6-month probationary period.
