Resource Teacher

Full-time teacher and resource teacher at Martinlaakson School. Primary grades 3–6 with concurrent and differentiated instruction, plus a few classes in health education and home economics for upper grades. Martinlaakson koulu is a unified school with grades 1–9 educating about 1000 students; adults in the school community number around 130. The school is located in Martinlaakso with good transport connections, in a modern building with up-to-date teaching resources. We aim to provide pedagogical unity and collaboration across age groups, ensuring a coherent school path from first grade to the end of basic education. We develop the school in accordance with the ProKoulu operating model, requiring commitment to its approach. We value experience in concurrent and differentiated instruction, ability to work flexibly as part of a large multidisciplinary team, strong interaction and collaboration skills, and the ability to plan and organize one’s own work. We offer modern learning facilities, technology, a supportive working community, and we provide teacher mentors as support for new teachers.
