Technician

We are hiring a skilled and motivated technician for a full-time role at the Vaasa Sustainable Technology Hub. The position involves completing engine block sub-assemblies and assisting related logistics activities. Modern engine block production is a multi-stage process that includes, in addition to machining, robot cell maintenance, operating washing machinery, handling materials, removing impurities, testing, and using quality and production control systems. You will work as part of a team responsible for automation and manufacturing, with opportunities to develop processes further through continuous improvement. Prior experience is beneficial, but the most important qualities are the ability to work in a team, a positive attitude toward learning and hard work, and a safety- and quality-conscious mindset. Key qualifications include basic metalworking training or equivalent experience, willingness to follow existing guidelines and requirements, ability to read technical installation and machining drawings, proficiency with measuring instruments, readiness for shift work, and a willingness to train in automation and robotics. Proficiency in Finnish is required; knowledge of Swedish or English is an advantage. The role is permanent and based in Vaasa Sustainable Technology Hub.
