Teacher

The City of Helsinki seeks a part-time teacher for TUVA qualification training at Stadin Ammattiopisto, for a fixed-term contract. The role involves raising grades in basic school core subjects, guiding students toward upper secondary and vocational studies, and teaching common qualification components. The successful candidate will have proven results in improving teaching, use diverse teaching methods, and leverage digital tools in instruction and guidance. Collaboration with vocational and upper secondary education actors is required, and the teacher will work as a team member and also serve as a mentor for students’ progression. The first interview will be conducted via video, with a group interview scheduled for 18 September 2026 at Ilkantie 3, Helsinki. Requirements include higher university degree, pedagogical studies (60 ECTS / 35 credits) and at least 120 ECTS / 55 credits in at least one of biology, geography, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or health education.
