Raahe is a harbor town where residents and businesses thrive together with the sea. Kummatin day care seeks a kindergarten support childcare worker for the pre-school group from 7 September 2026 to 31 May 2027. Role: As a childcare worker in early childhood education, your main duties are caregiving and development tasks aligned to the child’s age and developmental level. You will be responsible for implementing care and early education with your team, contributing to the child’s growth, development, and learning. The work emphasizes collaboration with guardians, supporting the well-being of children and families, and preventive approaches. Requirements include knowledge of documents guiding early childhood education and preschool; strong cooperation and communication skills; ability to interact with children sensitively; and sufficient Finnish language proficiency. Desirable: enthusiastic, positive, and developmental approach, and familiarity with social-emotional approaches. Qualifications: according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) and transitional provisions; a Social and Health Care vocational qualification with child and youth specialization is preferred. If no eligible candidates are available, the position may be filled by someone without the required degree. Selected applicant must present a police clearance and TB certificate before starting. Terms follow KVTES.
