We pull medical technology from the future to solve human health. Scarlet is authorised to assess and certify medical devices. We combine clinical, technical and regulatory expertise with AI agents and software so rigorous certification can keep pace with product development at the world’s most ambitious technology companies, without lowering the safety bar. Our customers have cut a year or more from their certification timelines for new AI-enabled medical devices and shortened product-update cycles from months to weeks. You’ll join a team building the infrastructure that makes these outcomes repeatable at scale. About this role Scarlet’s mission depends on making certification move at the pace of medical innovation. As a product designer at Scarlet, you'll shape the products that make that possible, turning complex regulation into fast, clear and trustworthy experiences. You’ll design for both sides of Scarlet’s service: medical technology companies bringing devices to market, and the regulatory teams assessing them. You’ll improve the products they use today and shape new ones as Scarlet grows. You’ll work with product, engineering and regulatory experts, and directly with customers to understand their work and test what we build. About you If this sounds exciting to you, we believe Scarlet may be a great fit and would love to hear from you! The potential for a great fit is even higher if you have one or more of the following: A strong portfolio of impactful products you’ve helped ship Confidence turning ambiguous, complex problems into clear solutions A blend of sharp product judgement and exceptional design craft Strong instincts for when and how to research Experience designing, prototyping and evolving design systems in code Superb written and verbal communication and an openness to critique Experience in health tech or another regulated industry The interview process Intro chat with Jono — 20 minutes Take-home — case-study submission Portfolio and craft interview with Jono — 45 minutes Product interview with Johnny — 30 minutes Engineering interview with Niclas — 30 minutes Leadership and values interview with James and Jamie — 30 minutes Reference check Offer
