Assistant Manager

We are hiring an Assistant Manager for Sale Martti in Turku. The position is permanent and 37.5 hours per week. As an Assistant Manager you act as the right hand to the store manager and play a central role in the daily leadership of the store. You organize operations by leveraging the strengths of the staff and respond quickly to changing situations with a positive, professional approach. You lead by example, work across all store tasks, and ensure a high-quality customer experience together with the team. You create open and functional communication within the workplace and guide operations through proactive feedback. The store manager is responsible for two stores, so you will have a significant role in daily operations at your own store and bear responsibility for daily leadership especially when the manager works at the other location. The role requires willingness to work according to store hours from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. You will succeed if you are service-minded, solution-oriented, and able to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment, even independently. You enjoy practical work and people leadership. You can meet a variety of people, build open and constructive communication, and provide feedback. We expect prior experience in supermarket management; knowledge of store systems and cash handling is a plus. The salary is based on the Retail Labour Contract and the role-specific responsibilities, and depending on training and years of experience, between €2,255 and €2,564 per month. Evening and weekend premiums add to base pay. There is also the possibility of an incentive bonus up to €1.20 per hour worked.
