Job Description

We are seeking a Manager to join our Helsinki office in a full-time, fixed-term role through December 2026. This position plays a central role in ensuring effective staffing, strong professional development processes, and balanced capacity management for our consulting population. As Manager, Staffing & Professional Development, you will work closely with the Helsinki Local Lead and partner group, all consultant cohort levels and the broader Nordic Talent and Staffing network to drive high-quality staffing decisions and monitor all professional development and performance processes. You will have direct report responsibility. The role requires strong ownership, independent judgment, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. The Manager will report to our Nordic Vice President, Talent.

Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the end-to-end staffing process for the Helsinki consulting population, ensuring optimal deployment of people across opportunities.
  • Ensure timely, balanced case team allocations, aligning client needs, business priorities, individual development objectives and overall utilization targets.
  • Participate in local and Nordic staffing problem solving sessions to align on priorities and resource planning.
  • Build strong relationships with consultants to proactively understand career goals and development needs, most closely working together with the senior cohorts (4-10 years of experience).
  • Proactively monitor consultant availability and pipeline demand to anticipate staffing gaps or surpluses and maintain high, sustainable utilization.
  • Coordinate cross-office staffing requests in collaboration with the Nordic and EMEA staffing network.
  • Manage vacation planning for assigned populations, balancing individual preferences with business requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 7+ years of experience in talent management, staffing, HR, consulting operations, or a similar function—ideally within professional services or a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
