Our clients are older people, people recovering from illness, people with multiple illnesses and people with disabilities who need care, assistance and support to manage everyday life. In home care, you meet clients in their own homes and play an important part in their daily lives. Your duties include, among other things: • Supporting clients’ functional ability and rehabilitation • Providing basic care and helping clients with everyday activities • Medication and wound care and other nursing tasks • Acting as the responsible nurse for your clients • Documenting in the Apotti client information system • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, relatives and other partners What do we expect from you? • You can work morning and evening shifts between 7:00 and 21:30, including weekends. • You work independently and responsibly in clients’ homes. • You meet clients respectfully and support their functional ability and independence. • You have the physical ability required for the work and are prepared to manage changing situations. • You have good interaction skills and work naturally as part of a team. • You want to commit to home-care work and develop your skills over the long term. • You can travel within the home-care service area by bicycle or car. Submit your application through our recruitment system. Complete the application in Finnish; we will process only applications completed in Finnish. We will contact you by email or phone after processing your application. The application form asks for the contact details of two referees. We may contact them during the recruitment process. Eligibility requirement: A practical nurse qualification and registration in the central register of healthcare professionals maintained by the Finnish Supervisory Agency (formerly Valvira). The language requirement is good spoken and written Finnish, at least level B2.1 on the Common European Framework of Reference scale. You need spoken Finnish to meet clients, assess their condition and collaborate with relatives and colleagues. In home care, you often work independently in clients’ homes, so you must be able to understand clients’ needs and make observations without continuous support. Written Finnish is needed to prepare client and patient records and understand work instructions and client information. Before a selection decision, the applicant must provide an occupational health assessment of their ability to perform the duties and a certificate concerning drug testing.
