Architect

We are a multi-disciplinary design and consultancy firm with a long history in Finnish public construction. Our architecture department traces back to Rakennushallitus, responsible for state building design and maintenance since 1811. In 1995 design tasks moved to Engel Design Services and through corporate arrangements are now part of WSP Finland Oy. Today we are part of a multinational expert organization with strong expertise, responsible delivery, and diverse projects. Our Jyväskylä office collaborates with Helsinki and Jyväskylä teams on a variety of projects including heritage buildings, facilities, schools and other learning environments, as well as demanding production facilities. We design both renovations and new buildings. The diversity of projects keeps the work engaging. We increasingly work in multidisciplinary teams under one roof, so cross-discipline capability, open dialogue and a willingness to learn from others are integral to daily work. We expect from you: broad experience as a junior designer; initiative and experience with small independent design tasks; enthusiasm for design and architecture; ArchiCAD strong skills; readiness to use office software and other digital tools; good collaboration and communication skills; fluent Finnish.
