Early years teacher

Hattula municipality's early childhood education is seeking a temporary early years teacher for the period 1 October 2026 to 1 June 2027. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed early childhood education teacher to develop the municipality’s early childhood education. If you have experience working with children who need support and can engage with children, other educators, collaboration partners, and guardians in a positive interaction, please submit your application. The applicant should have good spoken and written Finnish, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a motivated, positive and development‑minded approach. You should also have the ability to identify and observe factors affecting the well‑being of the child and the family, and the capacity to reinforce inclusion and network collaboration. Preference will be given to those interested in working with groups of children under 3 years old, as the substitute will work in a group with under‑3s. As a teacher of early childhood education you promote holistic development and learning of children through full‑day pedagogical approaches in collaboration with other educators. You will also be responsible for the pedagogical activities of the child group, planning, implementation and evaluation. Qualification as a teacher in early childhood education is in accordance with the Act on Early Childhood Education (540/2018) and Government Decree on Early Childhood Education (753/2018). The successful applicant must provide a criminal record extract as required by law (504/2002) and tuberculosis risk assessment before starting employment, with the TB questionnaire and interpretation guidance prepared by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health. A trial period applies. We follow a pay scale where level A1 salary is 3,082.34 €/month. Application period 24.8–7.9.2026.
