Senior Commissioning Engineer

Senior Commissioning Engineer responsible for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities in projects (HV/ MV substations, switchgear, transformers, AC/DC aux systems, control and protection systems, etc.). Participates in pre-commissioning meetings, planning and documentation preparation. Ensures compliance with safety instructions and Hitachi/Kunde requirements. Coordinates commissioning activities on site with project manager, site manager and design/technology lead. Supports bid proposals with commissioning plans and time/cost estimates. May act as commissioning lead in specific projects. Develops junior engineers by sharing knowledge and experience. Adheres to Hitachi Energy core values of safety and integrity. Requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or related field, several years of commissioning experience in substations, on-site testing of key components, relay protection testing (RET670/REF615), IEC 61850 digital station testing an advantage, experience across substations from bid to laboratory testing and field implementation. Fluency in English; knowledge of Swedish, Finnish, or Danish is a plus.
