Energy Specialist

Role We are looking for someone interested in software solutions and knowledgeable about the operations and processes of the energy sector. You will do meaningful work for our customers and their employees and customers. You are a key link between our customer companies and delivery team. Your tasks include planning and defining customer deliveries together with the team and customers, and you will naturally take part in software deliveries as a systems specialist. You will also actively support our new-customer acquisition (pre-sales). Your area of responsibility will take shape according to your experience and expertise. You can work in Lappeenranta, Espoo, Pori or Kuopio, remotely from your home office, or in a hybrid model under our remote-work practices. What do we hope for from you? You know the basic principles of renewable energy production and understand how production is taken to the electricity markets. You understand at least the fundamentals of renewable energy production and electricity markets, including reserve markets. You understand how different marketplaces, such as reserve markets, operate and the importance of data in their operation. You also understand the opportunities offered by sector information systems, such as energy management solutions. You may have experience using or implementing them. You may have gained experience in the energy industry in electricity production control, planning or development, or as a supplier of the sector’s information systems. You are enthusiastic about customer-facing development, planning and requirements work. You can identify customer needs and form solutions to meet them in our deliveries. You can also bring new ideas to our offering as input for product development. You may have experience with sector software solutions (such as EMS/EHJ, SCADA, industrial automation and control engineering solutions) and TSO/DSO data exchange related to market participation. The role requires excellent Finnish and English skills; other language skills are an advantage. In short: you are an energy professional with a real passion for learning more.
