Valkeakosken Sanomat produces meaningful, self-driven and valuable content for readers, in digital and print formats. The multimedia journalist role includes digging strong news stories, spotting talking points, and writing profiles and features. We seek a journalist with a keen news sense, ideation ability, and an open mindset toward local journalism. You understand what matters to the residents of Valkeakoski, actively build networks, and know how to leverage social channels in journalism. Write fluent, engaging text, photograph, and produce social content naturally. You should caption headlines in a compelling and informative way and understand the newsroom’s analytics. We will train you for live broadcasts. We value courage, willingness to experiment, self-direction, and good general knowledge. As a local media journalist, you will become part of a learning work community and develop your skills in a supportive atmosphere. The job is mainly on-site in Valkeakoski. It is primarily a daytime, weekday role, but includes occasional evening and weekend shifts. A driver’s license is required, and the office has its own car.
